Lia Pale is one of today's most versatile cross-over singers, who developed her unique sound between classical music and jazz traditions, especially in collaboration with the composer, pianist and arranger mathias rüegg. The two have teamed up to breathe new life into the timeless world of romantic songs. Their joint reinterpretation of Schubert's Winterreise laid the foundation, and it was only last winter that the two of them appeared on stage together at Porgy&Bess with rüegg's program 'The Blue Piano'.

The Great European Songbook is a musical journey across genre boundaries with excerpts from all three acclaimed programs "A Winter's Journey", "The Schumann Song Book" and "The Brahms Song Book". An evening where the rich tapestry of the European classical tradition meets the improvisational spirit of jazz.
