Operetta in the crypt - The Beggar Student

With popular songs like "Ach ich hab sie nur auf den Schulter geküsst" or the wonderful duet "Mit der Liebe Fessel binden" Millöcker succeeded in balancing between great entertainment and outstanding composition. The Austrian operetta ensemble Oper@Tee presents this audience hit in the KRYPTA of St. Peter's Church in a witty, clever and original way.

Directly in front of and between their guests, the Austrian specialists for Viennese operetta perform thrillingly with piano accompaniment, which directs the focus to the excellently cast voices. The audience experiences the work with the artists on the same level without any distance.

The crypt with its only 80 seats guarantees a personal experience in an extraordinary ambience.

The hall is pleasantly tempered at any time of the year and offers free seating.

St. Peter's Church (Peterskirche)

The Peterskirche is located on Petersplatz, right next to Graben and just west of the Pestsäule. The street Jungferngasse cuts through the pedestrian zone and leads directly to the church. The Peterskirche is largely obscured by the surrounding buildings, and can only be seen clearly from directly in front.
