Benjamin Koppel, born in 1974, is an internationally renowned Danish jazz musician. He comes from a family of musicians in which storytelling over dinner has always played a major role. Anna was his grandfather's long-lost sister. He found her story so fascinating that he was determined to tell it. With “Annas Sang”, which was published in Denmark in 2022, Benjamin Koppel achieved a surprise bestseller. (Press release)

As a musician, Benjamin Koppel has been a frequent guest, mostly with top-class “sidemen” such as Peter Erskine, Kenny Werner, James Genus and Antonio Sanchez. On the occasion of “Buch Wien”, Koppel is in the Austrian capital at the invitation of the Danish Embassy in his profession as a writer. Of course, he is also taking his instrument with him and we are putting together a fine local band to round off his stay musically... Welcome to the club! CH
