BONFIRE are without a doubt one of the most important German hard rock bands of the past 50 years. During their most successful period, with the classic albums 'Fireworks' (1987), 'Point Blank' (1989), and 'Don't Touch the Light' (1991), the band ranked alongside the Scorpions and Accept among the three most internationally respected bands in the country, including triumphs throughout Europe and overseas, celebrated tours with Judas Priest and ZZ Top, gold records, high chart positions, TV appearances, and more than 35 million views on YouTube for their hit 'You Make Me Feel' alone. The band's trademarks are and always have been deeply melodic hard rock songs, driven by captivating guitar work, grooving rhythms, and memorable vocal melodies.
To this day, band founder/guitarist Hans Ziller and his top-notch band regularly delight their fans with new releases and thrilling shows. Their current album, 'Higher Ground,' will be released on January 24, 2025, a powerful prime example of the brilliant songwriting and unbridled joy of playing by the musicians involved. To shorten the wait until the album release, the first pre-release single, 'I Died Tonight,' will be released on October 22, 2024, including a video. The second single, 'I Will Rise,' will be followed on November 19, 2024, and the ballad 'When Love Comes Down,' will be released on January 6, 2025, also with a worthwhile video.
Almost parallel to the release of the new album, Bonfire will embark on another major tour through Germany, the Netherlands, and Switzerland starting on January 21, 2025. In addition, several festival shows are planned for next summer, and the second part of the 'Higher Ground' tour will kick off in autumn 2025. Hans Ziller is already counting the days until his band is finally back on stage. He says: "I'm really looking forward to the 'Higher Ground' tour. Bonfire anno 2025 are a close-knit group with outstanding musicians who give their all for this band.
We were already able to triple the attendance on the 2023 'Origins' tour, so I expect completely sold-out shows for the fantastic new album in 2025. The fire is back, and in a big way!" If you want to experience it for yourself, you should definitely secure a concert ticket now!
MÄDHOUSE is back with their brand-new album "Plead the Fifth." Known for their distinctive sound and their trademark of bringing '80s-inspired glam metal into the modern age, the five hard rockers from Vienna pick up exactly where they left off with "Down and Dirty." The new album is more mature, more refined, but by no means quieter. Quite the opposite.
With new drummer Bobby B Bastard on board, Mädhouse takes things to the next level, delivering a powerful blend of heavy, razor-sharp riffs, catchy melodies, driving rhythms, and well-thought-out song structures that will definitely make the earth shake.
The title "Plead the Fifth"—a reference to the right to remain silent and not incriminate oneself—reflects the band's rebellious, fearless, and boundary-pushing attitude. The lyrics cover a wide range of topics, from personal experiences and social observations to bold statements about freedom and individuality, all with a playful wink and some bizarre thoughts. True to their signature style, Mädhouse continues to give bourgeois society the middle finger. They encourage you to rock along and never allow a moment of boredom to arise.
...and the Mädness goes on.....
