Martha
Romantic-Comedy Opera by Friedrich von Flotow

Flotow’s Martha was one of the most popular operas worldwide in the 19th century. Arias such as "Last Rose, how lonely you bloom here" and "Oh so pious, oh so dear" have achieved international cult status. Add to this a delightful plot with high entertainment value, and the result is great enjoyment for both connoisseurs and newcomers!
The Austrian ensemble Oper@Tee specializes in comic operas and operettas. Their focus is on realizing the composers’ original ideas, striving to stay as close to the original as possible.
OPER and OPERETTE in the CRYPT stand for authentic operatic craft. Established as Austria’s smallest opera theatre, performances in the historic hall impress with their intensity and high quality.
The CRYPT is comfortably temperate in every season.

Synopsis
The bored Lady Harriet decides to disguise herself and, for fun, hires herself out as a maid together with her chambermaid. Naturally, such a joke cannot end well. The two tenants, Plumkett and Lyonel, immediately fall in love with the ladies, who call themselves "Martha" and "Julia," and cannot forget them after their escape from the servant life. They meet again at a hunting party, where the embarrassing deception threatens to be exposed.
