The Italian pianist and organist Mario Eritreo is one of Europe's most sought-after pianists. In 2016, he performed the complete cycle of J.S. Bach's six organ sonatas in St. Peter's Church in Vienna, a feat accomplished by only three other artists to date.
Mario Eritreo performs with the most prestigious orchestras in Europe and is particularly sought after for his keen understanding of the compositions. A master of his craft, he is equally at home in large concert halls and the intimate setting of crypt concerts.
The performances of CLASSICS in the CRYPT are renowned for their intimate audience interaction and the outstanding acoustics of the historic hall. These popular cultural events attract classical music lovers from around the world.
The crypt is pleasantly cool at any time of year.
