VANDEN PLAS – the German prog rock flagship – is finally returning to Vienna with their 2024 album "The Empyrean Equation of the Long Lost Things" in their luggage.
After almost 40 years of band history, the musicians' passion for making music is palpable in every second, and VANDEN PLAS are more than ever brimming with variety, virtuosity, spontaneity, and joy of playing.
Anyone who enjoys diverse, rock-infused, yet melodic and progressive music, where delicate arrangements and technically demanding instrumental parts are paired with profound lyrics, shouldn't miss this evening!
IVANHOE was founded in 1986 and is one of the longest-standing progressive metal bands in Germany, gaining international recognition since their first release in 1993.
Over the course of eight studio albums, covering every corner of the genre, from playful atmospheric sounds to dark, complex metal riffs, the band cemented its status as one of Germany's prog metal highlights.
Ivanhoe has completed European tours and performed shows with Queensryche, the Scorpions, Nevermore, and Iced Earth, as well as performed at major festivals such as "Bang Your Head."
The current lineup consists of Alex Koch (vocals), Giovanni Soulas (bass), Richie Seibel (keys), Chris Lorey (guitars), and Mathias Biehl (drums).
Ivanhoe released their ninth studio album, "Healed by the Sun," on May 10, 2024, via Massacre Records.
With their catchy melodic metal tunes, SPEED LIMIT has been at the forefront of the Austrian hard rock and metal scene since the mid-1980s and celebrated their 40th anniversary in 2024. Their second album, "Prophecy," released in 1988, achieved international success with the hit "Lady," among others. Since then, they have regularly produced albums that have been highly praised by the trade press and impress with thrilling live shows (including support tours with Uriah Heep, Nazareth, and Manfred Mann). With their current album, "Cut A Long Story Short" (2023/NRT Records), the Salzburg hard rock pioneers have established themselves in the top 10 of the Official German Metal Rock Charts, and the release of a double live album is scheduled for fall 2025.
