Twelve dashing gentlemen have squeezed themselves into their finest attire with great effort, trimmed and gel-styled their hair, and applied a touch of color to their pale complexions in order to perform the great hits of the 1920s and 1930s in truly enchanting fashion.
They have only one goal: to make their audience squeal with delight and to set the dance floor on fire. After what feels like a century without the Salonorchester Alhambra, the ensemble led by Berlin’s Hans Daffke now returns and proudly announces its revival ... and among the guests one may expect the handsome Sigismund, the charming Donna Clara, and even a little green cactus.
Music of the golden 1920s and 1930s, from Duke Ellington to Walter Jurmann, from Spencer Williams to Max Steiner.
