Harry G
Hoamstories

He doesn’t give a damn. There’s no better way to describe the Munich-based comedian Harry G, who clearly isn’t impressed by “Bussi Bussi” and “Schickeria,” than with this blunt Bavarian saying. Straightforward words, sharp observations, quirky humor, a short fuse when it comes to social injustices, and fearlessness toward everything and everyone: anyone attending a Harry G show should expect to be entertained for 90 minutes in a complex and emotional way, leaving them as exhausted as after a brisk climb up the Wallberg. An evening with Harry G is not for resting—it’s full of energy and intensity, impossible and unnecessary for the audience to resist.

HoamStories—the title of the successful comedian’s fourth program launching in January 2024—is another wordplay meant to show that Bavaria is far more than the familiar “Mia san Mia.” Rather, it highlights the openness to the world and contemporary spirit that can harmoniously coexist with Bavarian tradition and lifestyle. In HoamStories, Harry G turns his latest everyday observations into material, often prompting the audience to recognize themselves in awkwardly familiar situations. Harry G frames “ordinary life” in a way that leaves no eye dry—mostly from laughter, but sometimes because certain absurdities are simply tear-inducing. Stories from and about Bavaria. HoamStories, indeed.

What began as amusing videos on social media has, since 2013, grown into an extraordinary stage success. In his programs Leben mit dem Isarpreiß (2014), #HarrydieEhre (2016), and HoamBoy (2020), Harry G delighted audiences across Germany, Austria, and Switzerland as a contemporary ambassador of Bavarian lifestyle, selling out 17 shows alone at the renowned Circus Krone in Munich. Starting January 2024, Harry G continues this success story with his fourth program, HoamStories.
