"Everything Will Be Better" Tour - 2025
Everything will be fine. Maybe. Certainly. It simply has to be. A bit of optimism and a modicum of hope are extremely valuable in difficult times – even for a self-confessed melancholic like Florian Paul and his Kapelle der letzten Hoffnung (Last Hope Band), consisting of Nils Wrasse, Giuliano Loli, and Johannes Rothmoser. The band and the charismatic 29-year-old singer with the warm, smoky voice have built a steadily growing fan base over the past five years with melancholy love songs and other nocturnal pieces that blend jazz, pop, and film music, and have long been considered among the most exciting and creative representatives of the German-speaking singer-songwriter scene. With "Alles wird besser" (Everything Will Be Better), they are taking an important step forward. The new program is a response to its predecessor, "Auf Sandgebaut" (Built on Sand), which was shaped by the coronavirus pandemic, a farewell to the general and personal lows of those years, and at the same time a continuation of the euphoric groove of tracks like "Bella Maria," with which the band generated enthusiasm. No more world-weariness: "I'd say there's a sense of optimism here now," Paul says. And it's clearly audible.
Nevertheless, Florian Paul, a trained film composer, remains true to his narrative style: the dark blue-tinted, contemplative images from dark times, with nostalgia and memories of times gone by and the dream of a happier tomorrow. The latter is the central theme of "Everything Will Be Better." You just can't stop dreaming. Then everything might not be okay. But it will be better.
