It is the most spectacular and successful touring dance show in history, and in 2026, it will celebrate its grand 30th anniversary: Lord of the Dance!

More than 60 million people in 60 countries across all continents have been captivated by this breathtaking, exhilarating, and magical show. The 30th anniversary is not just a reason to celebrate but also a unique opportunity to look back on the extraordinary journey of Lord of the Dance. It all began with Michael Flatley’s dream of creating the world’s greatest Irish dance show. And what almost everyone deemed impossible, Michael Flatley achieved with great determination, exceptional talent, tireless passion, and relentless hard work! His spectacular halftime performance at the Eurovision Song Contest in 1994 ended with a standing ovation, overshadowing even the main event itself. The rest is history!

Michael Flatley not only created the most successful dance productions of all time but also broke world records and brought the art of traditional Irish dance to global fame and recognition. His show—and Michael Flatley himself—became legendary. The battle between good and evil is a unique fusion of high-energy dance at the highest artistic level, original Celtic music, clever yet entertaining storytelling, and a touch of subtle sensuality. This extraordinary combination has been enchanting audiences for 30 years!

In spring 2026, the signature rapid “clicking” will once again echo through the halls of Germany and Austria. For this anniversary tour, Michael Flatley has reimagined the original concept of Lord of the Dance in a new and modern way. Described by the Los Angeles Times as a "showpiece extravaganza," the show will transport the audience to a time and place filled with myths and fantasy, with more than 150,000 taps per performance.

Audiences can look forward to a thrilling journey enhanced by elaborate costumes, breathtaking choreography, cutting-edge technology, and spectacular lighting effects. Under the direction of Michael Flatley, 40 of the most talented young dancers in the world will take the stage to deliver a show that perfectly unites tradition, entertainment, music, fascination, and dance. This dance sensation and its anniversary tour are a must-see for both long-time Lord of the Dance fans and newcomers alike!
