Synopsis/Details

Step into the last surviving concert hall where all four Strauss geniuses performed. Interactive museum, multimedia show, and original artifacts from Vienna's musical golden age. Recommended twice by The New York Times.

Vienna's Most Authentic Strauss Experience

Welcome to the House of Strauss - the last preserved original concert hall where Johann Strauss I, Johann Strauss II, Josef Strauss, and Eduard Strauss all performed. Built in 1837 and painstakingly restored to its original glory, this is not just a museum. It's a journey into the golden age of Viennese music.  Twice recommended by The New York Times in its "36 Hours in Vienna" series, this interactive museum brings the legendary Strauss dynasty to life through multimedia installations, original artifacts, and an audio guide narrated by the great-great-grandson of Johann Strauss I.

Your visit includes: Explore the interactive museum at your own pace and discover the stories behind the waltz, the rise of the Strauss family, and Vienna's transformation into the world capital of music.

Original Thonet chairs, historic costumes, handwritten scores, and multimedia stations immerse you in the era.  The highlight: a stunning 15-minute visual and acoustic show in the original Strauss Hall. Sit on authentic period chairs as cinematic storytelling and elegant lighting transform the hall where Johann Strauss himself once stood on the podium.

This is not a typical museum. This is where Vienna's musical soul was born.
