Bach, Mozart, Chopin & Others | Organ Concert – Mario Eritreo
Advent Atmosphere in the Chapel of the Crypt of St. Peter’s Church
A special place opens its doors: the chapel of the crypt of St. Peter’s Church, normally not open to the public, becomes a place of peace and contemplation during the pre-Christmas season.
Mario Eritreo, an internationally sought-after master of his craft, creates this special evening at the chapel’s small electric organ, deliberately chosen to suit the intimate character of the space. His carefully selected programme creates an atmosphere far removed from the hustle and bustle and stress of Christmas — a moment to pause and breathe.
The concert is complemented by the famous atmospheric nativity scene exhibition in the crypt, which brings the evening to a special close and makes the contemplative spirit of Advent truly tangible.
The crypt and chapel are pleasantly temperate in every season.
