Do Tamino and Papageno succeed in the difficult tasks they are given? How do the magic flute and the chimes help them? What an adventure!

With the largest selection of children's classics, KinderOPER in the KRYPTA presents a variety of works for both young and old. Due to the proximity to the singers, a special energy exchange is created that captivates even the youngest. Authentic, real opera theater is performed, primarily tailored to the needs of the young audience, but also exciting for the young at heart.

Seats are assigned on-site. Each young guest is guaranteed a clear view. Before the performance begins, there will be an entertaining children's introduction to the opera.

The bright and welcoming KRYPTA is comfortably temperate throughout the year.

Plot:
Tamino falls in love with the image of the princess Pamina. Her mother, the Queen of the Night, asks him to free her from the captivity of the sorcerer Sarastro. Papageno is to accompany him. As help, Tamino receives a magic flute and Papageno a silver chime. Unfortunately, the two get lost in the forest.

Papageno soon encounters Monostatos, Pamina's guard. The sound of the magical chimes makes him so cheerful that Papageno can free the princess. Meanwhile, Tamino tries out his flute. The wild animals, calmed by its music, show him the way to Sarastro's castle.

There, everyone learns why Sarastro had Pamina kidnapped. She is to become Tamino's wife and successor once he has passed the difficult trials. Tamino skillfully overcomes the great dangers and walks through fire and water.

Glad that he doesn't have to endure such trials himself, Papageno, however, has one big wish: a female, one like him, a Papagena! He plays his chimes, and an old woman appears. She threatens to imprison Papageno if he doesn't marry her. He then promises eternal fidelity, as he has nothing to lose. The old woman transforms into a beautiful young woman, whom Papageno recognizes as his longed-for Papagena.

"Strength triumphed, and crowned with its reward, beauty and wisdom with an eternal crown."
