High demand for the anniversary ball: only a few tickets with seats, reduced-price tickets for pupils and students, and a limited number of Late-Night Tickets remain available.

75 years of the Vienna Medical Doctors’ Ball meet 25 years of Pink Ribbon, and interest in our anniversary night has been overwhelming: the 75th Vienna Medical Doctors’ Ball on Saturday, 30 January 2027 is almost sold out! There are still a few tickets available with reserved seating, reduced-price tickets for pupils and students, as well as a limited number of Late-Night Tickets, available in our ticket shop. It’s worth being quick!

Under the motto ‘A Dance for Life – a Charity Night for Pink Ribbon’, the Vienna Medical Doctors’ Ball is dedicating its major anniversary celebrations entirely to the Pink Ribbon campaign run by Cancer Aid Vienna. When the Hofburg is bathed in pink on 30 January, we will be celebrating 75 years of the Vienna Medical Doctors’ Ball and 25 years of Pink Ribbon – and thus, together, 100 years of commitment to health, awareness and solidarity.

A limited number of our Late-Night Tickets are still available. From 00.30, you can use it to immerse yourself in the anniversary celebrations and experience the Vienna Medical Doctors’ Ball until the early hours of the morning: from the after-midnight show through the traditional audience quadrille to the closing waltz. Please note that admission is subject to the maximum permitted number of visitors.

The theme of pink runs through the entire ball: with our anniversary ball, we want to celebrate together whilst also sending a strong message of support to those affected by breast cancer and their families.

Our dress code is much more than a formal requirement - it is an invitation to show your best side in festive evening wear and to express your appreciation for the long tradition of the Vienna Medical Doctors' Ball.

Ball Orchestra Dr. Krisper

The "Ball Orchestra Dr. Krisper" conducted by the general practitioner Florian Krisper will play in the traditional Viennese 19th century line up which made Johann Srauß world-famous. The violinist is not only concert master and soloist in one but also conducts the orchestra which creates a special bond between orchestra and audience.

The Bling-Blings

"The Bling-Blings" are a live band that celebrates the diversity of musical styles and uses it to find the perfect mix of music for every generation.
The band consists of six professional musicians, with the lead singer and all the instrumentalists making great use of their microphones. This polyphony creates a full sound and the different lead voices allow for a great variety of repertoire.
In all this, of course, the joy of making music and of the music itself must not be missing, with which the band wants to infect and carry away all the dancing and listening people in the room.

The Broadway Big Band

She has provided musical accompaniment to many large and well-known balls, galas and corporate events in recent years, and is also known for her concert programmes: a byword for high quality music and entertainment. True to the motto: FROM THE EAST TO THE WEST, YOUR SWINGING GUEST!

Bandleader Gerhard Aflenzer:
The "Playing Captain" was born in Amstetten/NÖ in 1961 and conducts the band confidently from the 2nd trumpet desk. He began playing the trumpet at the age of 7. Later he studied jazz trumpet at the Vienna Conservatory. As a musician he has played with the Vereinigte Bühnen Wien, Richard Österreicher Big Band, Teddy Ehrenreich Big Band, Wolfgang Lindner Band, among others. He is also active as a musician in various other formations.

Mastaire's Wiener Damenkapelle

Following on from the tradition of the legendary ladies' band that once performed at the Eisvogel in the Prater, Lidia and Fred Mastaire founded Mastaire's Wiener Damenkapelle in the 1970s. In their splendid historical white costumes with blue ribbons, a trademark of the past and present, they cherish and cultivate the tradition of dance and entertainment music of the Strauss dynasty and their contemporaries.
Mastaire's Wiener Damenkapelle has been a guarantee for musical entertainment for more than 50 years.
